WHIZ-TV started broadcasting on May 23rd, 1953. WHIZ-DT went on the air in the summer of 2003. Our digital channel is 40. DTV receivers are able to receive our digital signal on channel 18-1. We currently broadcast 1 standard definition channel.

WHIZ AM has a long history of broadcast history. We have been serving the area for over ¾ of a century. AM 1240 is a 1KW station that serves Zanesville and Muskingum County, as well as reaching into the surrounding counties.

Z-102 as it is referred to now, began operation in 1961. Today, Z-102 is a 50,000-watt directional station. Z-102 plays the Hot AC format and is currently #1 in rankings.
